Battlefield 2142 easter egg found in Battlefield 3: End Game

Battlefield 3's End Game DLC plays home to an easter egg linked to DICE's futuristic shooter Battlefield 2142.

The dropship bears the insignia of a Battlefield 2142 faction, and can be seen flying around Kharg Island after you install the DLC.

This probably isn't an indication that a new futuristic shooter is on the way, but it is rather neat. it follows a weird Mirror's Edge easter egg found in DICE's previous DLC pack 'Aftermath. Watch it in action here.
